Zixi Chen has been taught by prominent Pianist and Professor Minduo Li since he was 8.5 years old.

 

November 2015, he played the piano at the concerto performed together with Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Conductor Qiyuan Zhu in the Concert Hall of the Science and Art Center of Xiamen University, and played the piano at the concerto performed together with Tianjin Symphony Orchestra conducted by Conductor Muhai Tang in Tianjin Concert Hall. Zixi Chen has successfully held piano concerts in China’s several concert halls, including the Main Hall of the Concert Hall of Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Sha Tin Town Hall, the Chime Concert Hall of Wuhan Conservatory of Music, the Concert Hall of Piano Academy at Gulangyu (affiliated to Central Conservatory of Music), Wuxi Grand Theatre and Suzhou Concert Hall. 

 

Chen Zixi, who just turned 13, has received many awards, including the first place in the Second Italy Imola International Piano Competition, the second place in the US San Jose International Piano Competition in 2015, the first place in the final of Kawai The Fourth Asia Piano Competition, the first place in the final of “Pearl River Kayserburg” National Youth Piano Competition in 2013, the first place in the final of SCoM Music Middle School First National Youth Piano Competition, and the first place in “Shanghai High School Cup” in 2010 and 2011, etc.

 

Extensively acclaimed by experts and judges for his sincere emotions, confident and calm playing, natural and unrestrained stage manners, and adept skills, Zixi Chen has been known as a “charismatic” child pianist.
