Shengye Cheng was born in Guangdong, China in 2001. At the age of 12, he attended Rubinstein Music School in Poland under Prof. Maria Murawska.

 

He has had some recitals in different cities:

The New House of Art in Radziejowice, the Chopin Center in Szafarnia, the Golub Castle; Rotunda Hall in Lubostrona, Fryderyk Chopin Museum, Palacete Viscondes Balsemão in Porto; Teatro Rossini in Gilia Del Colle in Italy, etc.

 

He won some awards, such as:

2014 - 1st Prize and Special Prize in 4th "Piano Talents" in Italy;

2016 - 1st Prize in 4th "Citta di San Dona di Piave" in Italy;

2017 - 1st Prize in 4th "Carpathian Chopin" in Rzeszow, Poland; 

2017 - 1st Prize in 19th "Santa Cecilia" in Porto, Portugal; 

2019 - 1st prize, Audience Award & "Giuseppe Peretti in memoriam" Prize in 1st “Amadeus” International Piano Competition in                 Lazise, Italy; 

2019 - 1st Prize and Critical Prize in 22nd “Pietro Argento” in Gioia del Colle, Italy; 

2020 - 1st prize & special prize in 10th "Fantazja Słobozańska" in Ukraine. 

2021 - 1st prize in “Orbetello 2021 Piano Competition” in Italy. 

 

He is currently studying at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz under Prof. Maria Murawska.
