Henry Tang, USA

Henry Tang,  born in 2002 in New York, began studying piano at age 4 with Frederick Kuok at Brooklyn Musical Arts in New York. Since in 2011, Henry has won numerous competitions and made significant debuts in major concert halls in the US.  These awards include the second place at the New York State Music Teacher Association (NYSMTA) NYC Piano Competition (2011), the first prize of the 2012 Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition, the first place and the Best Chinese Music Performance Award at the 27th International Young Artist Piano Competition in Washington D. C. (2012), the first place of the 16th New York Music Competition (2013), the first place of the American Protégé  International Competition of Romantic Music (2014) and the grand prix of the VI Chopin International  Piano Competition Hartford, CT (2015). These awards result in his appearance in Carnegie Hall in New York three times, J. F. Kennedy Center in Washington D. C. and Christ and St. Stephens Church in Manhattan New York. Henry is  currently a 7th grader at Mark Twain Intermediate School for the Gifted and Talented.
