Hoang Pham Tra Mi, Vietnam

Hoang Pham Tra Mi was born in Moscow, Russia in 1997.

She began playing piano at the age of 5 with teachers Ukrainski Lev Mendelevich, and Chistiakova Lubov Pavlovna.

 

In 2009 Tra Mi moved to Vietnam and continued her musical studies at the Vietnam National Academy of Music Piano Faculty with teacher Ta Quang Dong. During that time she won numerous international competition prizes, including First Prize (category C) in 

1-st International Chopin Piano Competition Singapore (2010), Second Prize (group 2) in 3-d International Rosario Marciano Piano Competition (2011) in Vienna, Austria, First Prize in Nuits Pianistiques Piano Competition and Academy (2011) in Aix-en-Provence, France. Tra Mi has participated in several piano festivals and has played at the masterclasses for internationally acclaimed pianists such as Dang Thai Son, Martin van den Hoek, Konstantin Lifshitz, Einar Steen-Nokleberg.

She has been nationally chosen as an Outstanding Young Face of Vietnam in Cultural Field in 2011.

 

In 2012 Tra Mi successfully completed 3 rounds and became a finalist of the VIII Moscow International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition for Young Pianists (2012). Right after the competition she was accepted to one of the most prestigious music schools in the world - the Central Music School (College) of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, there Tra Mi became a student of internationally acclaimed pianist, People’s Artist and professor Yuri Slesarev.

 

In 2014 she graduated with honor from the Central Music School. The same year Tra Mi got a state scholarship to pursue her music studies in the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where she is currently mastering her skills. Tra Mi’s  teachers are internationally renowned pianists and professors, People’s Artists Yuri Slesarev and Tigran Alikhanov, and Honor Artist Irina Kirillova, and also an internationally acclaimed pianist and transcriber Vyacheslav Gryaznov, international competition’s prizewinner Maria Dubrovkina.

 

Tra Mi played in the Moscow International Performing Arts Center Chamber Hall, Moscow Bolshoi Theatre Beethoven Hall, Hanoi Opera House and frequently performs in the Small, Rachmaninov and Myaskovsky Halls of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. She is active as a soloist and a chamber musician.
