Michał Oleszak, Poland

Michał Oleszak was born in 2000 in Wrocław. He began learning to play the piano at the age of
seven. In 2013, he began his education at the Wojciech Kilar in Rzeszów. Three years later he
became a student of the General Music School of Zenon Brzewski in Warsaw. After graduating,
he continued his studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of
prof. Alicja Paleta-Bugaj , prof. Joanna Ławrynowicz - Just and prof. Konrad Skolarski.

He is a laureate of piano competitions and chamber music competitions, incl. 1st place at the International Competition in Košice; 1st prize at the International Piano Competition in Łomianki, 3rd prize at the International Chopin Competition in Narva; 1st prize at the International Piano Competition in Busko-Zdrój and 1st prize at the Warsaw Chamber Music Forum.

 

He also developed his piano skills at master classes conducted by professors such as: Janusz Olejniczak, Piotr Paleczny, Andrzej Jasiński, Philippe Raskin, Stephan Möller, Wojciech Świtała, Robert Szreder, Maria Szwajger-Kułakowska, Bernd Goetzke, Ewa Kupiec, Elżbieta Stefańska and Krystian Tkaczewski.

 

He has performed, inter alia, at the Estonian Opera Theater in Tallinn, Philharmonic in Košice, Ehrbar-Saal in Vienna, Opole Philharmonic, Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra, Subcarpathian Philharmonic in Rzeszów, Łańcut Castle, Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Center in Lusławice, Paderewski Center in Kąśna Dolna, Mirror Hall in Tarnów and many times at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. He also collaborated with the Second Program of Polish Radio and Radio RDC.
