Andrew Gu, 12 years old, is a student at the rigorous Roxbury Latin School in Boston and New England Conservatory Preparatory School. He started piano lessons with mom Helen Jung and currently studies with Alexander Korsantia and Dorothy Shi. He won 1st Prize at Grotrian-Steinweg International Piano Competition (2015), NW Chopin Competition (2016), Rosalyn Tureck International Piano Competition(2017), and Grand Prix at Chopin International Piano Competition Hartford (2019). He  was also prizewinner at San Jose Competition (2016), Lagny-sur-marne Competition (2017), Kaufman Competition (2017).

He made his orchestra debut at age 8 performing Haydn's Keyboard Concerto in D major. Andrew has been featured in Classical KING FM’s NW Focus Live Shows and has performed at such venues as Benaroya Hall, Merkin Hall, DiMenna Center and Kravis Center. An avid soccer player and biker, Andrew enjoys coding in Python, reading and great food.
