Dear Music Lovers,

 

I would like to welcome to the  jubilee XXV  International Piano Festival “Lato z Chopinem” [Chopin Summer] named after Barbara Hesse-Bukowska in Busko Zdrój organized by Uzdrowisko Busko-Zdrój SA.  Since the 2015, the official international partner will have been  Connecticut Chopin Foundation.We will present  our event, which is considered as the most important  piano festival in Holy Cross voivodeship,  for twenty-fifth time. The  jubilee edition will feature many influential piano stars of various age groups. Starting 2015, “the stage for youth” was replaced with the new authorship concert series named: World Piano Talents Series”, which  exclusively presents  young pianists from: Poland, USA,Japan, Belarus, Germany, Vietnam, Taiwan,Singapore, Malaysia, Romania, Russia, Italy, China, Taiwan, Canada, Croatia and Ukraine.

The performances young piano stars will precede that of Stars of the evening.The inaugural anniversary  concert will present maestro Krystian Tkaczewski and invited two promising Polish pianists: Robert Maciejowski and Paweł Wojciechowski. They will perform piano concerti by Fryderyk Chopin with the accompaniment of String Quintet of Tarnow Chamber Orchestra. These year among the stars will feature world renown pianists: Hinako Inoue from Japan- winner of  Krystian Tkaczewski Internaional Piano Competition in Busko-Zdrój, Hsi-Yun Wu from Taiwan-winner of Paderewski International Piano Competition in Farmington, CT, Ivan Gusev from Russia- Winner of Gershwin International Piano Competition in New York and Marie-Luise Bodendorff from Germany. We will also listen to alumnae of professor Barbara Hesse-Bukowska: Sviese Cepliauskaite and Shoko Kusuhara.  There will be also an opportunity to attend two concerts of participants of international piano master class given by Dr. Krystian Tkaczewski and prof. Yuri Didenko from Russia.Because of our anniversary, we have introduced a new concert- “Chopin in the open-air”, which will take place in Park Amphitheater on July 21, 2019.
